HO-PIN TUNG FINISHES SECOND IN LE MANS 24HRS ENDURANCE RACE
Ho-Pin Tung claimed a hard-earned second place in last weekends’ 24 Hours of Le Mans after another strong showing against the world’s toughest endurance sports-car field.
The No.38 JOTA run Jackie Chan DC Racing x JOTA LMP2 car driven by Ho-Pin Tung, Gabriel Aubry and Stephane Richelmi drove a faultless race to take second position after a closely fought event.

In so doing, the trio took a richly merited second position in the 2018-19 WEC Super Season LMP2 standings, while JOTA which runs two Oreca-Gibson LMP2 cars in the championship, finished a close second in the teams’ standings.
Only a puncture at 08.15 on Sunday morning halted a possible class win and title charge for the No.38 crew.

Ho-Pin Tung:
“I look back at my 7th Le Mans 24 hrs race with mixed feelings. We drove a perfect race, the team made zero mistakes, all the pitstops went well and the strategy was choosen right. A puncture at the early stages lost us a lap to the leader. Mixed feelings because despite a flawless race I won my second Le Mans podium but unfortunately we didin’t win the superseason’s LMP2 FIA WEC Championship in Le Mans, the final race of the season.”
