HO-PIN TUNG AWARDED ‘MOST PROGRESSED CHINESE SPORTSPERSON’.

Ho-Pin Tung, present in China for business contacts and for the annual meeting of the Chinese Motorport Federation, was awarded the prestigious title ‘Most Progressed Chinese Sportsperson 2009’, much to his own surprise. The prize was presented to the young racing driver during a gala show organised by BQ Magazine, the biggest life style magazine of Beijing, has a circulation of millions. Other awards went to tv-, fashion- and music heros.
‘I was surprised, and I am proud,’ says Ho-Pin Tung in wintry Beijing. ‘ It is an extra honour, because for my Chinese fans I am most of the year in action abroad. And the award proves that my results, among them not in the least my recent Formula 1 test for Renault, are well known here in China.’ Ho-Pin Tung returns to Europe for Christmas holidays, to return to his fatherland again in the first weeks of 2010.
