HO-PIN TUNG IN SHANGHAI

This weekend Ho-Pin Tung is present in Shanghai on behalf of BMW Sauber F1 to drive the BMW Sauber F1 car in Pit Lane Park. Not only Ho-Pin is having fun, but the Chinese fans are having a great experience when they  to soak up the heady F1 atmosphere in the Pitlane Park arena.

This Park is set up by BMW at the Shanghai Internation Circuit in order to to welcome all racing fans for a close-up experience of motor sport’s crowning discipline. It's a real treat for the racing fan: Potential future race pilots can check their stamina and reaction speed excorted by real BMW F1 sport coaches and possible future F1 team members van practice changing the wheels of the F1 car in a replica-built pitlane.




Ho-Pin in aktie met de BMW Saiber F1In the arena, a 90-meter long section Ho-Pin demonstrates the Formula One car the whole weekend. The Chinese fans can watch Ho-Pin accelarate and making doughnuts from only 1 meter distance and experience the sound, the thrll, the speed and the smell of this unique moments. After each demo run, Ho-Pin welcomes the fans for autographs and pictures.

On Saturday Ho-Pin was not only busy in the BMW Sauber F1 car but was also invited in the CCTV5 studio to share his race car experiences during F1 coverage of the qualifying session.
In the evening Ho-Pin was asked by BMW Sports Director Mario Theissen to go to the BMW M-Party in Shanghai.



During the party, Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Ho-Pin were interviewed by a Chinese photomodel who also translated the interviews with Heidfeld and Kubica to Chinese. During the interviews the drivers said they were happy to be in Shanghai and talked about the exciting last lap of the Japanese GP. Ho-Pin did his interview in Chinese so a lot of people from the international F1 community had no idea what was being said!
